A story of tHEA
Thea was named after one sunny afternoon in the winter of the year 2000. Chen family just settled down from the country that create bubble tea-Taiwan. Bryan, the eldest son was craving for bubble tea after he immigrated to Australia, so he decided to open the first tea shop in Adelaide. His brother, Steve, who has passion in food decide to join the team. Sisters Erica and Kathy also jump in to build the family business. It was rare to have vegetarian food and tea combination in one place but the shop turns out to become local’s secret. They opened the shop in Gay’s Arcade in year 2000. After 2 years of running, the tiny shop can no longer host many customers so they decided to move to a bigger place so people can enjoy the tranquil environment and be able to sit back and relax.
